This Fall, Prepare for What’s Next

September has a way of making everything feel like a fresh start. New routines, new goals and a chance to finally do something you’ve been thinking about for a while.
But going back to school doesn’t have to mean following the traditional path. You don’t have to be 18, start on the first day of September or put your life on hold, and you don’t have to choose a career based on what made sense five or ten years ago.
Maybe you’re thinking about changing careers after years in another field, building new skills to move forward in the career you already have or turning an interest into something more. Whatever is motivating you, there’s no one right way to take the next step.
Life doesn’t have to stop while you start something new
For many people, the idea of going back to school comes with questions. Can I fit it into my life? Am I too old to start over? What if I’m not sure exactly where this will lead?
The truth is, education and career paths rarely look the same for everyone.
You may be balancing school with work, family or other responsibilities. You may know exactly what career you want or still be exploring your options. You may want to learn in a classroom, prefer the flexibility of online learning or need a combination of both.
What matters is finding an option that works for where you are now and where you want to go next.
At Willis College, students come to us at different stages of life and with different goals. Some are starting their first career, while others are changing direction, upgrading their skills or returning to education after time away.
There is no deadline on figuring out what you want to do next, and there’s no single version of what going back to school should look like.
Start with what works for you
Maybe September is the right time to begin. Maybe you need a few more weeks to get organized, arrange childcare, wrap up a job or simply feel ready to take the leap.
That’s why programs at Willis College start at different times throughout the year, rather than following one traditional academic calendar.
This fall, new programs begin throughout September and October, with options in healthcare, technology, business, legal studies, education and hair and aesthetics. Depending on the program, you can also choose from in-person, online and hybrid learning options.
Whether you’re ready to make a career change, develop new skills or take your first step toward a new profession, you can decide what comes next.
